LIFE IN THE CHURCH

At St Mark's we encourage community within the church. We offer several programs and services that you can get involved in to socialize and build your faith with others.
BIBLE STUDIES

Small-group Bible studies offer an excellent way to increase your biblical knowledge, connect faith with everyday life, and form and strengthen bonds with other St. Mark’s members. Small group members grow together by praying, hearing God’s word and serving the community as a group.

PARISH NURSE

The Parish Nurse program at St. Mark’s contributes to the worship experience at St. Mark’s Church in Washington, Illinois.

LIFE MILESTONES

At St. Mark’s, we celebrate life’s most important moments, recognizing God’s presence in our everyday lives! From Baptism of our newest members to marriages, we rejoice in God's love in our lives. We invite individuals of all ages to join us in our journey as we grow in faith and discipleship.

WOMEN OF
THE ELCA

WELCA is the women’s ministry organization of the ELCA. All women are invited to participate in WELCA. The group’s purpose, as stated in the WELCA Mission Statement, is “Mobilizing women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.”

SERVE THE COMMUNITY

St. Mark’s offers monthly service opportunities throughout the Central Illinois communities. Past projects include helping build homes for Habitat for Humanity, landscaping work for Crittenton Center, house painting for Washington residents, tornado recovery work, & packing food at Midwest Food Bank.
